HELLO, We are Santa Maria Business Development Center!

The Santa Maria Business Development Center (SMBDC) exists solely for the purpose of encouraging, supporting, and expanding economic opportunities in the Santa Maria Valley through helping residents reach their personal economic growth potential via the entrepreneurship and self employment path. The Center's mission is to be known as the premier small business knowledge resource/development center on the Central Coast, to provide the residents of Santa Maria the highest quality support while they launch/expand their small businesses, and to ultimately be a resource for other service providers in the region. 

The SMBDC is a launch pad for startups, newly established firms, and existing businesses ready to expand. The SMBDC offers a wide array of coworking/shared workspace options as well as fully furnished, full-service private offices. The SMBDC staff works continuously to develop a dynamic schedule of activities, workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities-not only for members but the community at large. 

It is our hope that you, your colleagues, and your working partners will join us in making Santa Maria a better, business community.


The SM BDC offers a selection of full-service, fully- furnished, private offices - ready for your business! All you need to do is bring your laptop/desktop computer and the rest is provided - even artwork on the walls! Full-serviced offices include on-site receptionist (M-F, 9a-5p), telephone service, live answering services (M- F - 9a-5p), all utilities (inc WiFi/Broadband), each office individually controlled alarm system, 1000 copies/prints on our state of the art printer/fax/copier, allocation of complimentary conference room use, member discounts on amenities, and a complimentary membership in the Santa Maria Business Development GROUP, etc.  We also offer a wide selection of concierge services designed to help your business grow  - let us take care of the day-to-day office tasks while you go about the process of building your business.

Additionally, our facility has 2 large conference rooms, a beautiful meeting room, large training/meeting room, and a beautiful atrium courtyard area perfect for mixers/networking events.
